Two and Three-Toed Sloths: Costa Rica is a haven for two-toed and three-toed sloths, enchanting creatures that epitomize the serene pace of the rainforest. The two-toed sloths, belonging to the Megalonychidae family, are often found in the dense foliage of lowland rainforests on the Caribbean and Pacific slopes. Their slightly larger, three-toed counterparts, scientifically classified as Bradypodidae, prefer the high branches of the canopy in a variety of habitats, ranging from lowland rainforests to cloud forests.
